From March 11 to April 14, our new show celebrates friendship—that great adventure of childhood! To help us navigate the whirlwind of emotions it stirs up, we’re joined by some wonderful heroes: Simon, Marcel, Bat, and Flamingo...! Ready for takeoff?

Share the joy of reading

A veritable ritual, the show is a central part of the museum visit. The children gather together, chant the magic words, and open the story chest... The reading-show, performed by two voices, is accompanied by sound effects and props. The children are captivated, and many parents leave with the desire to read more at home.

Our troupe of storytellers is made up of professional actors, trained in reading aloud and directed by stage director Lou Lefevre. We offer several types of shows for adults, babies, and even musical readings!

Baby reading

Here, there's no need to sit up straight—quite the opposite!
We let babies crawl, explore, touch, look, babble, play... and above all, experience books at their own pace. At the heart of this gentle bubble: a show designed for little ones, based on tender, colorful, musical, poetic picture books.

Musical readings

Have you heard of our musical storytimes?
Based on a book, Léa and Antoine take us on a half-hour journey of swing and gentle melodies: we sing and dance, accompanied by a guitar, piano, or flute. We’re counting on you to clap along in unison!

The story tent

Our storytellers share their passion for books both inside and outside our walls: Salon du Livre Jeunesse de Montreuil, Hangar Y, Festival du livre de Paris etc... La Maison des histoires travels thanks to its magnificent story tent!
