Should I book my ticket in advance?

Yes, because we have a maximum capacity of 40 people, our sessions fill up fast! We strongly recommend that you book your tickets in advance on our website. If there's still room when you arrive, you can buy your ticket on the spot.

Is it possible to buy tickets on site?

If space is available, tickets can be purchased from the café cash desk at la Maison des histoires.

Can I bring my stroller or my child's scooter?

Yes, each family has its own storage space for strollers (or scooters), coats, mittens, helmets etc...

From what age can children take part in activities?

We offer special sessions for 0-2 year olds called "baby sessions". Other sessions are aimed primarily at children aged 2 to 7 (babies are always welcome, but the content is not directly adapted for them).

My child is over 7: can he or she still come?

Of course we do! We're delighted to welcome you, from 0 to 99 years old.

Should I stay with my child during the visit?

Yes, children must always be accompanied. Our experience is designed to offer you a wonderful moment of parent/child sharing.

Is there a changing area?

Absolutely! You'll find a fully-equipped changing area in the bathroom at la Maison des histoires.

Are there child-friendly toilets?

Yes, the toilets are equipped for adults, children and babies.

Is there a green space nearby?

Yes, we recommend a number of gardens within a 2-10 minute walk, where you can extend your visit with a picnic or outdoor play session. Square Récamier, at the end of rue Récamier (3 minutes' walk), Square Boucicaut, 1 rue de Babylone (5 minutes' walk), Jardin Catherine Labouré, 29 rue de Babylone (10 minutes' walk) and, of course, Jardin du Luxembourg, 19 rue de Vaugirard (10 minutes' walk).

Can we eat there?

At the story café, we offer a choice of hot and cold drinks, as well as light snacks such as pastries, cakes and other sweets (but no meals). It is not possible to eat picnics on site, except of course for babies.

Is there air conditioning for hot weather?

That's right! Come and play in the cool.
